Serving as a protected area for the park's namesake cactus, Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument is a place to get away and enjoy the desert beauty. With a 21-mile long scenic road and hiking trails of various lengths and difficulties, there are plenty of ways to enjoy this isolated habitat. Say overnight in one of the park's campgrounds and try to catch one of the ranger-led hikes or evening nature programs to get a deeper sense for how important this natural preserve is. The monument is situated on the very southern border of Arizona, adjacent to Mexico, far away from even medium-sized towns.
Open daily 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Entry fee (7 day pass): Vehicle $8; Individual $4.
